Bring and Buy Sale
On Wednesday 23rd March 2011 the Year 6 had a Bring and Buy Sale where people from the school donated things that they don't want any more to Year 6 . Thunder 14 vs Sparticles this was the competition name.Thunder 14 won but all together they raised £210 for the school charity Action Aid.
Goodbye Miss Moore And Mrs Currie
For the last 6 weeks class 13 has had some new teachers called Mrs Currie and Miss Moore.Class 13 are very sad to see them leaving they have taught class 13 so much and we bet they're sad to leave us.We hope they have fun at the new school they're going to,goodbye Miss Moore and Mrs Currie we will never forget you.
Football tournament at Ladygrove
On Wednesday 23rd March there was a football tournament at Ladygrove. There were around 7-8 teams. Despite Ladygrove played outstanding football they didn't make it through to the next round because they came 3rd in their group and missed out by one position.But they will never give up and hopefully win the oncoming tournament.

Zumba
On Friday the whole school had a professional Zumba teacher (called Sam) and had a go at Zumba. Zumba is a dance that has very energetic dance steps that make you sweat like a pig, however it's really enjoyable and everybody loved it including the teachers!
Year 6 Money Matters:task 1
On Thursday year 6 held a red nose day fete with stalls such as Guess The Name Of The Teddy bear,Pin The Red Nose On The Face, Biscuit Decorating and Throw The Bean Bag In The Box.Thunder 14 (class 14) raised an amazing £141.88 however, in the lead are Sparticles (class 15) with a grand total of £187.13!!! so thats a difference of £45.25.The best seller for Sparticles was easily the Biscuit Decorating raising a massive £88.21 throughout the day.Thunder 14's money maker was their Throw The Bean Bag In The Box. Eventhough Sparticles won this task Thunder 14 could soon catch up because of the bring and buy sale on Wednesday. Remember to bring your pennies!

High 5 match!!!
This Wednesday the high 5 club played against a school from Wallingford called Fir tree. The game lasted 45mins, our high 5 team did extremily good by scoreing 5 nets in the secand queter wich was very empresive wich makes the team non lost.The team will have to wait till next time to immpress Mrs Manthorpe once again.

Finally red nose day is here and we are holding a red nose day talent show.loads of people are in it but they can't back out now because it's today.we will let you know what happened soon. it will be funny or good
dancing,but just remember it's not just dancing its plays and all sorts of diffrent things,if your kid/kids are in the talent show you never know they might have a very clever talent.like acting ,singing ,dancing,poems and magic tricks. I gess your kid/kids will tell you all about thier time to shine.

Sparticles Vs Thunder14
1-0 to Thunder14! The whole school was joined by Sparticels and Thunder14 in assembly on the 10th March,when both teams had the opportunity to perform an advertisement about their team.Which included information about their first task,which is a school fair in the school hall on Thursday 17th March.Mrs tucker decided who would win £3extra and she chose...

Football tournements!
On the 10th of March some girls represented Ladygrove in a football tournament in Abingdon.
They got to the semi-finals but sadly lost 1-0. They played brilliantly , the other team scored a flukey goal.
This coming Saturday the boys team are playing a tournament at Manor school. Hopefully we will win!

World Book Day!
On Thursday 3rd March was World Book Day! Everyone was asked to dress up as their favourite book character.Lots of people arrived at school in a variety of costumes.There was PJ girls,scarecrows,wizards and comical characters e.g Dennis the mennis and Superman.In the morning KS2 got the chance to catwalk down the hall infront of most of KS1.In the afternoon the whole school paraded through the coutryard with parents watching.Everyone enjoyed the day we hope you had great fun!!!

This term year 6 are doing money matters as their topic.On Monday they had a lady from actionaid called Anne who has over 20 years experience.She told year 6 about the work they do and where the money year 6 raise will go towards. Actionaid work in many poorer countries with the whole community. They have lots of different projects to care for different communitys needs like
- Farming
- Irrigation
- Animal loans
- Equipment
- Health
- Water
- Savings(Money)groups
- Education
- City life
- Emergencies
- Preventing problems E.G storms
- Rebuilding lives
- Campains
- 1 in 8 people go hungry every night,mostly children

- In Africa ladies aren't allowed to own land
- Actionaid work with over 20 million people
